ientific The above piece is one that we made via an iPad. I learned that making art is more than just one simple step. We started out with a contour (outline) drawing with pencil on paper. Then we took a picture of the outline and used technology to shade in the outline on different layers to get the best looking image. I also learned about getting the correct values of an object. The piece was successful because it's accurately depicted what the stapler I drew looked like; not a general stapler. If I were to do it again I would accurately depict the scale better.
Perspective
The above picture is a forced perspective depicting the wall as the floor and the wall as the floor. Doing this piece I learned about the different kinds of perspective and how to make the image look the way it truly is meant to look, along with using the angles to force a certain perspective. The above photo is successful because the angle the photo forces perspective of the wall now being the floor. If I were to do it again I would take more time with getting as close to the perfect angle as possible to make it look more believable.
Still Life
This piece is an observation drawing of a still life object: a T-square. Doing this drawing I learned about how drawing an object is more than just outlining it and coloring it in. You have to pay attention to the values and the shading, especially with the light hitting the object. This piece is successful because the shading is closely depicted and the lighting on the wood is depicted as well. If I were to do this again I would pay closer attention to the differences of the lights and darks
