Character Remix
The above piece is a combination of the cartoon characters Mario and Kirby. From doing this piece I learned about how to take two totally different characters, objects, etc. and morph them together. I also learned how to correctly mix the paint to get the correct colors of the two characters. The piece is successful because I kept the essential parts of each character on the morphed character so there isn't any debate of what the two characters are. If I were to do this project again I would add on Mario's overalls because that is also a major part of Mario and would make the piece even better.
Daily Monster
The following piece is a "Daily Monster" piece created with ink and a straw first, and then adding on to it with pen, colors, etc. I learned how to create something out of random spreads of ink just blown everywhere. I learned how to look at basically nothing and use my creativity to produce art. The piece is successful by the crazy spray of ink looking like an actual "monster", which is suppose to look like a deranged Rudolph. Next time, I would focus more on the body of the monster to make that look more realistic and less sporadic.
